Get to Know Us

El Shaddai Children Home is a non-profit ministry committed to caring for orphans and children who lack the basic necessities of life to make it. In 1997 the Lord led me to resign my job located in Jacksonville Florida in the United States, to relocate back to Haiti for the work He had for me. This was a time when the country was experiencing a great disaster that devastated the whole nation.

There were severe drought, famine, and increased homelessness. This resulted in different forms of sickness and diseases, yet the Lord laid on my heart so vividly “Go and feed them.” Even though I was discouraged by many due to the devastation of the country, like the prophet Nehemiah, I was full of excitement and surety that ‘He who has called me is able to supply the resources for the rebuilding of the brokenness in the lives of His people’.

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

I am a Haitian and came to the U.S. at the age of 19. I was saved in 1983 in Jacksonville, Florida through door-to-door evangelism campaign. In 1997 the Lord placed a call on my life to return to Haiti and start El Shaddai Children Home. El Shaddai Children Home was the beginning of El Shaddai Ministries which opened the door to many other areas of ministry. We ministered in different areas in Haiti and we are now established in a village called Dessources in the Croix des Bouquets area. We now have a church and a school in Dessources and a church in Bariadelle, which is located in Jeremie. I love God and I love people. My heart is to see many people come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and for their mentality to be changed with the teaching of the Word of God. A NEW GENERATION FOR JESUS IN HAITI is my heart's desire.

Elizabeth Clackler

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

I taught elementary school for over 25 years when the Lord called me to Haiti. In 2005, I went on my first mission trip to Haiti. In 2006, I led a team to help pour the foundation of El Shaddai Children Home as well as served on other teams throughout the year. Then in 2007, I began serving with Marie in El Shaddai Ministries full time. I spent 9 months each year in Haiti learning the culture and serving in many different areas of the ministry. Even though I had never dreamed of being a missionary, God has put a great love in my heart for the people. I am so grateful to the Lord for this call and it is a great privilege to serve the Lord with Marie as a missionary to this precious country. My heart's desire is to see the people set free from bondage and oppression and serve the Lord with their whole hearts as they find freedom in Christ.

1ST CHAIRMAN

God called me into service for the people of Haiti in 1999. I believed that this was something that He has been grooming me for all my life and still working with me. He has partnered me and my calling with ESCM because my ministry and theirs are the same: to change the world, the country and these people one person at a time. We believe that there is hope for Haiti and its people. That is why it is an honor to serve as the Chairman of El Shaddai Central Ministries.
